The Art Of Making
We’re proud as punch to be working with an amazing bunch on women in one of our production units in Jaipur.
Unskilled and uneducated, our women artisans began working in this production unit doing very simple jobs such as packing, but soon threw themselves into learning the art of needlework when the opportunity arose.
This group of women feeling empowered and with renewed purpose began attracting others in the local community. It has grown in numbers since the pandemic, with more wanting access to skills training and sustainable employment. The more embroidery and hand stitching projects that we’re able to provide, the more women we can bring into the fold.
