  • Spot wash, hand wash or machine wash cold. We recommend using these methods, only, and if only you really need to.

    In the words of Stella McCartney, “basically, in life, rule of thumb: if you don’t absolutely have to clean anything, don’t clean it.”

    Due to the nature of the AZO free non-toxic dyes, you can expect the colours to fade slightly after first wash/when washed in hot water.

  • Block prints are done by eye, and by hand.

    Small imperfections are part and parcel of the process but we believe this makes it all the more charming.

 

The Art Of Making

The process of block printing holds a place of pride in India. It is an age old craft that has been perfected and passed down over many generations.

The blocks are made using woods such as teak or sycamore and are hand carved into our designs.

Fabric is pinned onto the printing table and once the colours have been prepared, the blocks are dipped into a colour and then pressed firmly onto the fabric. This process is repeated over and over until the design is complete.
